About us – our story
North started in January 6th 2015 and ten years later we are launching our new and up to date solution – NORTH MAGNET, a fully digitized and modern Search-Company. The Magnet is part of a group of companies being launched in January 2025, including Magnet Executive Search and North Management. To be strategic on behalf of our clients, we seek opportunities to accelerate our clients’ business. This is done partly by utilizing our extensive network directly to initiate contact that can open business opportunities, and partly by headhunting high potentials in key positons.
Our focus since we started in 2015 have been – Search for the talents needed. This how we assist clients to build the organization they need to achieve their goals. We are not order-takers but advisers. We do global search and use high end selection solutions. We continuously seek new talents whom we can supply to projects also as “contract professionals”. Our Consultants and Partners take a direct role in each project to make sure the objectives are met.
Our expertise and experience
We basically do not have any limitations to sector, branch, type of business, positions or regions. We do focus on high tech, innovation, scaling and renewable energy type companies. Overall the team have more than 25 years track record in organizational development, search, recruitment and selection. We handle projects from top to bottom – we are the client´s partner in building their need for talent and capacity. We have assisted clients in scaling up both to projects as well as more business and markets.
Why the brand North?
North was chosen as the main name as a common identity of a “family” of North-companies, to ensure that all types of projects’ was connected to North as a brand. Also “true North” is a challenge to ourselves to ensure intergrity in our solutions and deliveries. All North’s companies and brands were introduced in 2015: North Consultants, Finance Management and Technology Management. In 2019 North Management was established.
We established several branch offices in 2015; former colleagues in Hudson Nordic located in Copenhagen. In 2016 we established an office in Houston and in 2017 an office in Bergen.
Some milestone to show how we executed our digital strategy:
In September 2016 we held conference focusing on Digitization and IoT with approximately 140 participants, with customer sessions on the two following days. Speakers were Nordic Semiconductor, NEL Hydrogen, Finn.no R&D manager, Wapice (Finnish), Fusen Solar technology and North itself.
We have also attented, both on our own initiative, but also for clients and several internation chambers of commerce at OTC (oil & gas) conference in Stavanger, Oslo and Houston.

Magnet Executive Search was born in 2022 from the vision to create something unique for the Stavanger and west-region. Spinning off from another well recognized recruitment company, we created the brand Magnet with a clear focus on startups and innovative scaling companies.
